As Lordstown, Ohio plant workers await the phone call that will direct them back to building the currently-suspended Chevrolet Cruze, new leads have indicated that the Cruze’s platform mate, the Buick Verano, has also been affected by the issue, as the Verano and Cruze do share several mechanical bits (and more).
Production of the Cruze was originally suspended Monday due to a quality issue with the vehicle’s strut provider, and further testing by General Motors has indicated that production will remain suspended until further notice.
