Buick’s Moment of Truth website, also known as a campaign to appeal to younger buyers, is now compatible with tablet devices. We tried it on the official GM Authority iPad (yes, such a device exists) and were pleased with the overall experience. The only downside is that the site is a bit sluggish and is pretty much useless on smartphones.
For the uninitiated, Moment of Truth aggregates photos, videos, articles, and conversations related to the Buick brand from around the world. Users can post their thoughts, browse content from experts, fans, owners, or Buick itself as well as comment on it. The campaign is also accessible via Buick’s Facebook page.
So if you have a friend, acquaintance, or family member who may be considering a luxury vehicle but thinks that there is a certain age requirement to drive the brand’s vehicles, it may be useful to show them the Moment of Truth site.

Tried it on my iPad (the first generation running the latest iOS software) and it was painfully slow and clunky and crashed twice. I’m not sure why Buick used this elongated format for a tablet.
Interesting. I tried it yesterday on an iPad 2 and it worked fine; today, though, it’s choppy and crashed Safari. I think the format is fine, since it allows you to scroll left/right — which is something that’s done easily on a tablet-like device; but the speed issue needs to be addressed, of course.
Have you guys see the snip of the Buick Encore? I think its on GM’s facebook pic
Sure did!
