Audio customization in cars is a huge business, but it seems that only too few take it to the level it deserves to be taken. Thankfully, the Chevrolet Sonic Boom concept is here to make the world a little louder, with enough sound power to start avalanches in the Himalayas. From Vegas.
Giving the Sonic Boom its appropriate name is a concept Kicker audio system with things most of us cannot comprehend. These include two 15-inch Comp VX subwoofers, six QS Component speakers and tweeters, no less than 12 six-inch QS Component speakers and tweeters, exactly two IX1000.1 Mono subwoofer amps, four IX500.4 four-channel mid and high amps, and a ZXSUM8 – Summing interface signal processor that brings it all together. The proverbial cherry on top is the big-ass red button on the dashboard that presumably makes everything work.
Time to amass the greatest dubstep playlist ever, and put this thing to the test.

Wangstas everywhere, rejoice. Too bad this isn’t debuting in an Impala or Caprice with spinnas.
Is this still cool, I must be getting old this seems so 1990, sorry this does not get me excited. First off the amount of $$$ to pull something like this off isn’t even worth it. And then there is the quote from Chris Perry, what was that about, my guess is this was someone’s wet dream from there youth.
Tune up the Sonic and turn down the music, please…
Lame, who gives a rats ass anymore. No one is buying basic car audio systems anymore, much less this.
i think that the amount of time and effort that went to the install is not being appreciated, being a car audio fabricator i can see that. that install is to turn heads and bring attention to the product and car itself. is it something i would roll around in probably not, but will it stand out and make people look, well of course it will. i give kudos to the installers and the time and effort it took to build it, i know of the long hours and countless sanding and sanding.
