SEMA 2011: Chevrolet Corvette ZR59 Is The Best Of Both Worlds

If you don’t know what Pro-Touring is, do a Google search real quick on it, and get back here. Because what the ZR59 is happens to be nothing short of one of the finest examples of Pro-Touring art.
The entire car was essentially built from the ground up, featuring an Art Morisson chassis and a hand-crafted body composed of metal and fiberglass. Sure, it’s not an authentic 1959 Corvette, but frankly, who cares? Any opposers out there may switch parties once they experience the power of the ZR59’s ZR1-based engine tuned to expel 750 (!) horsepower to the rear wheels via the visceral shifting of a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission. Hopefully this car wins some sort of official award.
