The magic number of the day is 220,412. That’s how many vehicles GM China and its joint ventures sold in China for the month of October, which happens to be a new sales record for the month with a gain of 10.4 percent.
Year over year, Buick sales were up 3.1 percent to 56,200 vehicles, Chevy sales totalled 50,450 (but were down year-over-year), and Cadillac sales grew 21.5 percent to 2,085 vehicles, of which the SRX comprised 1,280.
Also during October, GM China and friends passed the 2-million mark with 2,113,274 units, the fastest the company has ever reached the goal in a year. Now if only the rest of the world could follow suit.
