38,444 Pontiac G8 Sedans Recalled Over Faulty Airbag Sensors

It’s not very often these days that we have the joy of writing the latest news on the beloved Pontiac G8. However today we are graced with the occasion but the word isn’t all that splendid. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, General Motors is recalling 38,444 copies of the vehicle over a faulty airbag sensor, which may be off cadence by 30 milliseconds. The sensor is thrown off specifically when the front passenger seat is adjusted all the way forward, though no injuries have yet to be reported.

Owners will be notified soon, and as usual the fix-up is complimentary.

    1. But then I always ask “Why? What could Pontiac possibly offer that isn’t already being taken care of with what products GM has now?”

I hope it wouldn’t be simply for the difference in drivewheels. RWD only cars can’t make for Pontiac, they simply wouldn’t have the volume needed to be profitable over time.
