GM Recalling 33,964 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain Crossovers For Faulty Tire Pressure Monitors

General Motors has issued a recall for improperly calibrated tire pressure sensors on 33,964 2012 model year Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the monitors are meant to be configured so that a warning light goes off during any time a tire is under-inflated to just 25 percent below the vehicle’s recommended level. Unfortunately the light is staying off until the tire’s air pressure is touching even lower levels, and as such can be a hazard that could lead to an accident.
As per the usual protocol, General Motors will pick up the tab to fix the recall.

I wonder if this recall will extend to other models…SRX, Escalade, etc.?
