GM’s Ft. Wayne assembly plant will be graced with a healthy $275 million in order to spruce itself up for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra half-ton pickup trucks. The investment will also create or retain 150 jobs for the plant, which currently employs 3,400 workers.
The announcement of the investment is also the last one that will be a part of GM’s $2 billion nationwide plan that will create or retain 4,000 jobs in 17 facilities in the United States.
