Cadillac’s latest ad series called “Proving The New Standard” attempts to do just that by showcasing several key features on the Escalade, SRX, but mostly the CTS and CTS-V. And rightfully so, considering what the 556-horsepower super sedan has done for the image of the brand. But sometimes word of mouth and rave reviews aren’t enough, and that brings us back full circle as to why Caddy has to, well, prove the New Standard.

And balance is exactly why FWD-based Audis will never hold a candle to a comparable performance vehicle with a RWD layout.
Or forthcoming RWD/AWD layouts. 😉
Yupp. As long as it’s initially designed to drive the rear wheels… which isn’t the case with Audi, Saab, Acura, and Volvo. These makes can tout their “super duper smart handling AWD” all day long, but at the end of the day, it’s an inherently inferior solution that’s simply easier and less expensive to implement.
