Spied: A Glimpse Of The Cadillac ATS Interior

Yes, we know GM posted an official teaser video of the Cadillac ATS, but they teased to0 much. Sometimes a little bit more substance is required, and the latest spy photo posted on Car and Driver shows that the upcoming BMW 3 Series fighter will ditch the mediocre steering wheel found in the current CTS for something seemingly more engaging. There’s also a touch sensitive center stack like in the upcoming XTS — just as we reported during the summer as part of the upcoming Cadillac infotainment system — and a fairly large LED display to go with it. I love the new steering wheels offered in the newest GM vehicles, however, the one thing Cadillac (and the ‘Vette) need is to be unique. I am ok with some parts bin controls but big things like that steering wheel are too similar looking to my Cruze. Again, it’s not a bad steering wheel (very attractive, actually) but I just feel like Cadillac should have something a bit more Cadillac specific. I may be wrong though. Just my .02.
Yeah, I’m right there with you. My Cruze has one of the best stock wheels on the market… but it should’t be in a Cadillac (or a Buick, for that matter).
It kinda looks like everything is touch sensitive here… kind of like how Ford has the myFord Touch
You know, if you look at the image of the center stack, it looks like there’s a physical button that corresponds to each of the labels. Same thing on the steering wheel. I’m starting to think that the controls aren’t touch sensitive at all – just very clean and open.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see until… well, whenever the real car is released!
I was hoping for both types (touch and physical buttons) — but from what we’ve been hearing, it will be all touch 🙁
because they said that the SRX is gonna have the touch sensitive controls so I assume that this will have it also
