OnStar Extends Family Link Pilot

OnStar has announced an extension to the pilot of its Family Link service, which it announced at the beginning of last month. This means that users who are part of the pilot can continue Family Link, which was originally set to end on 9/15/11, for free. In an email to customers, the GM telematics subsidiary wrote:
Good News! The pilot for the OnStar Family Link service, originally scheduled to end on 9/15/11, has been extended. We encourage you to continue using this service on your 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and testing the different features like Vehicle Locate and Vehicle Location Alert. If you need to update your alert settings, please visit www.onstar.com/familylink and log in.
We appreciate your participation in this pilot while we work to make enhancements, and bring you new and exciting services from OnStar. If you have any questions regarding Family Link, please call 1-888-4OnStar.
