There’s less than a week left of negotiations between General Motors and the United Auto Workers before the September 14 deadline, though talks seem to be progressing smoothly.
In a report done by the Detroit Free Press, much of the discussions have to do with economic issues, adjustments to the profit sharing formula, and a possible increase in wages. If a deal cannot be reached by the 14th, then the most typical plan of action is an extension of the deadline, like what happened back in 2007 with all the Michigan automakers.
