GM To Idle Fort Wayne Assembly Plant To Cut Pickup Truck Supply

General Motors is taking steps to cut further into its full-sized pickup truck supply by idling its Fort Wayne, Indiana assembly plant during the week of November 7. But, only for a week.

The company has been taking measures on reducing its overstock of Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks since its inventory reached a high of 122 days back in June. Most analysts agree that an 80-day supply on full-sized trucks is more ideal.
