Cadillac Permitted To Build Ciel

“Cadillac has permission to do this vehicle. It’s not something that would be out of place.”

Those are the words of Cadillac’s VP of marketing Don Butler to the Detroit Free Press regarding the Cadillac Ciel Concept convertible. Couple that with the fact that GM designers have already drawn up what the Ciel would look like with a fixed roof, and that a Caddy flagship has supposedly been approved, and the Ciel Concept that was unveiled at Pebble Beach could very well be more than just a hint of what’s to come.

But we’ve gotta ask. Would you rather see the upcoming Omega-based Caddy resemble the Ciel, or the Sixteen?

  1. CIEL hands down….

  2. Definitely Ciel. I hope the sedan’s c-pillar has a formal 76-79 Seville look to it. Deck lid shouldn’t be as short as the sixteen’s either in my opinion, more like Ciel’s.

  3. Ciel. I’d only suggest the sixteen concept if the production car had a V16 engine, which is going to happen on the twelfth of never.

  4. CIEL, with a rear end that gets a little more finesse (looks uninspired at the tail IMO)
