Wordless Wednesdays: New Engine, Old Corvette

What happens when a supercharged LS9 from a Corvette ZR1 is stuffed into a 1971 Stingray? “Golden Rod” — that’s what — and that’s exactly what Houston’s Fastlane performance shop is working on.

Golden Rod is also getting a slew of upgrades such as a new set of suspenders, brakes and other components. But let’s not turn this beauty into the other type of “rod” — the Rat Rod.

  1. The 71 sure is pretty, too bad it’s heavier than the 2011. I’d love to win the lottery so I could have Fastline put a LS9 in a 88 IROC.
