Solar Powered Green Zones To Charge Electric Vehicles, Chevy Dealers

It only makes sense to harness the power of the most powerful object in our solar system. Yes, the Sun. And that’s just what General Motors is offering to its Chevrolet dealers. Dubbed the Green Hill Zone, this solar-powered charging station allows dealers to enhance a dealership’s ability to charge plug-in vehicles, while also using the harnessed power to assist in the operational needs of the dealership.

The Green Zone is the result of GM Ventures’ $7.5 million investment in Sunlogics, which is a solar panel manufacturing and development company, and possesses the capacity to charge a Chevrolet Volt up to 4,500 times a year.
