In round 10 of the SCCA Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix, Cadillac Racing ventured out to Sonoma, California, hoping for a win at Infineon Raceway. They came pretty close, with Cadillac’s Andy Pilgrim finishing just 1.5 seconds behind Porsche’s Patrick Long in the GT2 Class. It was Pilgrim’s first podium finish all season.
Meanwhile, Pilgrim’s teammate Johnny O’Connell has so far accumulated one win and one third place finish. In the manufacturer’s chase, Porsche still leads with 73 points, while Cadillac remains second with 45.
Pilgrim, O’Connell and the rest of the Cadillac Racing crew won’t have to travel far for the next round of racing for the Pirelli World Challenge, as it’s Sunday, Sept. 18 at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif.
