As of July 24, consumers can purchase the OnStar For My Vehicle (FMV) at their local Best Buy for $299.99, plus $75 for on-site installation.
With service plans starting at $18.95 a month, or $199 a year, owners can have access to several security and safety features that the Blue Button provides no matter the make or model year of the vehicle. Features include roadside assistance, stolen vehicle location assistance, hands-free calling, turn by turn navigation, and automatic crash response.
Other retailers will soon begin to offer OnStar FMV, include Car Toys, Crutchfield, Fry’s Electronics, Al & Ed’s Autosound and P.C. Richard & Son.
