Seemingly just as the 2012 Buick LaCrosse began rolling off the line, a recall for the Epsilon II-based sedan was issued. The NHTSA has published a recall notice on for  4,077 ’12 LaCrosse models due to an improperly-calibrated Electronic Stability Control System (ESC). The dangers of a malfunctioning ESC could lead to a crash, as the system may activate unexpectedly and drastically change the vehicle’s driving characteristics.
In a separate recall, GM is recalling 11,915 ’12 Chevrolet Impalas due to a power steering hose that’s lined too closely to the catalytic converter, which in turn could cause the hose to melt, leak and/or start a fire.
