Utility Companies The First To Receive Chevy Volts In North Carolina

If you’re ever in North Carolina, make sure to visit the city of Charlotte and eat a Honey Wasabi Tuna Burrito at Cabo Fish Taco and wash it down with a Longboard Island Lager. It could quite possibly be the best decision you ever make this year. While you’re there, keep an eye out for a Chevrolet Volt or two.

The first 27 Chevy Volts destined for North Carolina are going to major utility companies under a partnership between the Electric Power Research Institute and General Motors in order to study how EV charging affects the state’s grid as well as raising public awareness about the vehicles. Meanwhile, consumers will have to wait until August to find a Volt at their local Chevy dealer.
