For the 2012 model year, the groundbreaking Chevy Volt will receive a few worthwhile improvements. For starters, the Jet Black chairs with Ceramic White interior accents are being phased out in favor of Jet Black and White seats with Ceramic White interior accents (the key words being “and white”). Meanwhile, a new interior trim combination includes Jet Black and Spice Red seats with Dark interior accents.
The 2012 model year also brings Summit White and Blue Topaz exterior colors as well as 17-inch aluminum wheels with black inserts. Color inserts for the wheels will be available as a Limited Production Option (LPO) in Silver Ice, Cyber Gray and Viridian Joule hues.
As far as technology is concerned, the 2012 Volt brings passive entry for all doors and the liftgate while the much-needed Chevy MyLink infotainment system brings the Volt into the 21st century with Bluetooth audio streaming for music (aka A2DP), voice recognition for the phone, music, and radio, Pandora and Stitcher smartphone compatibility, as well as Gracenote support for album and song metadata (such as album art, song and album name, and other optical disk specifics).
