Local Motors Builds LS3-Powered XC2V Flypmode For DARPA

The Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) wanted to see what the general public could come up with as a concept of an Experimental Crowd-Derived Combat-Support Vehicle (XC2V). The firm that got the nod of approval was none other than Local Motors, which managed to build the entire vehicle from the ground-up in a mere 14 weeks. Oh, and it utilizes GM’s awesome 430 horsepower LS3 engine found in the Corvette.

The next Hummer? Don’t hold your breath, because this multi-role vehicle remains a concept only.
