GMC Launches Showroom Mobile App

If you ever wanted to research a GMC product while on the move, there is now a way of going about it if you have a smartphone with the GMC Showroom Mobile App. The app is currently available for download from the Apple App Store, and will be available on the Android Market by the end of the month.

The GMC Showroom app joins the Chevrolet Showroom app — with similar applications for Cadillac and Buick most likely to follow soon. For more, have a look at the presser.

    1. Nevermind that Apple’s iOS devices far outsell (and are way better than) anything and everything smartphone- or tablet-related on the market today… but it’s not about how many devices there are… it’s about how many users actually use their devices to download (and then use) apps. Apple’s iOS platform is by far the leader in this space.

That said, Blackberry is solely to blame for lack of app development for its devices: it has a myriad of completely different devices with different screen sizes, resolutions, input formats, and operating systems (three completely different systems to date!) — all of which make it very difficult to develop apps for developers. And the fact that the only Blackberries worth writing an app for are the Torch, Storm, and PlayBook doesn’t help Blackberry owners one bit.
