Our fair readers, we present to you Facebook Fridays: a collective of the most outrageous GM-related Facebook comments scattered across the Book of Face. If you have to ask why, then you’re missing the point.
Some might make absolutely no sense, but that’s where we find the beauty in reading these gems. Think of it as the car fanatic’s version of Texts From Last Night. Now, let’s take a look:
we all know dale was a good chevy driver but i have a thunderbird car still in package that says dales first drove a ford in nascar
Ford sucks!
GM should make a special edition Nova: The Supernova
Bring Cadillac to NASCAR!
why is the malibu’s name is malibu?
bring back the 57 chevy! keep the outside design exact-make a horse-power edition of it. put Kid Rocks name on it have him market it.American bad ass-American bad ass car.
Really? Cadillac in NASCAR?
That’s all for this installment of Facebook Fridays. Be sure to check in next Friday for another dose of ill-formed sentences!
Comments
Very funny and cadillac should be i in Nascar but the “Ford sucks!” comment should not have been included as it is not outrageous or ill-formed, it is not even GM-related.
1. Well, the fact that Dale probably first drove a Radio Flyer before he drove either Ford or Chevrolet, beats all that noise.
2. So Ford sucks, huh? That may be true, but they still outsell everybody else in the North Amrican market. Nothing to sneeze at, but something to admire and respect.
3. Well, we would first have to actually have a regular Nova on sale, now wouldn’t we?
4. The day Cadillac enters NASCAR is the day I will never own one.
5. Malibu? Very good question. But I think we need to go a bit further back. Why is California’s name is California?
6. What exactly is “bad-ass”? Give me a break already…I’m sorry, but I refuse to be associated with anything that is analogous to a poorly functioning anus.
Honestly, a special edition Bel Air would be insane if kept true to the original design, and the idea of Kid Rock pitching that or some parts of Chevy, giving Tim Allen a break occasionally…you may have a decent idea there. If Eminem can pitch for those other guys up 75, and Bob Seger’s “Like a Rock” still brings out the Chevy Truck, the Kid’s “Born Free, All Summer Long” or yes, even the American Bad Ass should be seriously considered…may not be a bad idea.
This was….. entertaining…. and reaffirms my belief that 95% of the American public are morons.
I bought a new 2012 CTS. When I get on it a little bit just before it shifts gears it makes a sound that sounds like all the baffles in the muffler or cat is going to fall out. I took it my dealer and they hear it also. They took another 2012 CTS and it does the same thing.
I got a case number from GM (71-1061884386). They tell me there is nothing they can do. I have had 5-6 people tell me that the car sounds like it is falling apart when I step on it. The dealer hears, GM knows about it and will not do anything. What do I need to do to get some results. I did not buy a new $45,000.00 car to have something that sounds like it is falling apart. I am not bad mouthing the dealer, they have done everything they can at this time.
Have you heard of this? According to GM all CTS’s might do this? I’m trying to find anyone who can tell GM how to fix this. Thank You
Bill, thanks for sharing the details. This is the first we here at GM Authority are hearing about this particular scenario. Here’s what I would do.
1. Start a new discussion in the GM Authority forum (click on FORUM above) — this will give everyone here a single place to follow the progress of the issue
2. I will send an email to a contact or two at GM communications to see if there is anything that can be done about this further
Hope to see you in the forum!
