Racing Roundup: Corvette Racing Sees Bad Luck At Lime Rock (With Video)

After a thrilling win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Corvette Racing ran into trouble during the 2 hour and 45 minute American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut last weekend. After a mere 20 minutes of racing, a chaotic chain collision crippled both Corvettes in the race, causing body damage up front as well as precious time for both cars.

When it was all said and done, the pair of ‘Vettes finished a measly 9th and 10th, and now sit in 2nd and 4th in the points race overall, with Gavin and Magnussen at 2nd in the No. 4 C6.R with 37 points and Beretta and Milner at 4th in the No. 3 C6.R with 33 points. The No.70 BMW is way ahead with 70 points.

Corvette Racing’s next event is the Grand Prix of Mosport in Bowmanville, Ontario, on Sunday, July 24, starting at 3 p.m. ET.
