If you thought the video of the 2012 Corvette ZR1 setting a new Nurburgring record for production cars was awesome, then you’re going to love watching the 2012 Z06 smash its old record which was set back in 2005 by 22 seconds with a 7:22.68 lap time. For those of you keeping score, that’s three seconds behind the time of the ZR1.

This says a lot about the goodness of the basic Corvette suspention, adding power still adds speed, I wonder what the limits of this chassis are, 700hp, 1000?
