“Old GM” Agrees To $2.8M Cleanup Of Mercury Switches

Motors Liquidation Corp. (or “Old GM”) has agreed to pay $2.8 million to establish a trust that will be used for the proper cleaning and disposal of switches containing mercury. There are twelve states involved in the settlement, which consist of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Vermont.
