As the ever-increasing pace of technology grows, so does our interest in electric cars. And while the current Chevrolet Volt still has a few years to go before it’s refreshed or replaced with the next generation of plug-in engineering from General Motors, research and development for future batteries that will power the upcoming models are well under way. Not just for the next generation, but the generation after as well.
Even though the gen. II Volt is a tantalizing thought, the major decision going forward for GM executives is to either offer a vehicle with a similar range to the current model but at a much lower price, or to float around the same price point yet offer much more battery life. Hopefully there’s a way to do both.
