General Motors continues to roll out announcements revolving around its $2 billion nationwide investment plan, with the latest official word concerning the company’s assembly plant in Fairfax, KS, where the Buick LaCrosse and current-generation Chevrolet Malibu are built.
The $20 million investment is said to be for plant updates, which are meant to optimize production of the LaCrosse with eAssist, which launches soon. The plant has previously received $136 Million back in 2010 in order to prepare itself to assemble the next-generation Malibu, which will begin in January of next year.
