Chevrolet Improves Impala Police Vehicle

As you should be aware by now, General Motors has breathed new life into the 2012 Chevrolet Impala with an an upgraded powertrain and features. Now, The General has announced that those same changes are heading towards the Impala police car.

The 2012 Chevrolet Impala police vehicle will receive the 3.6L V6 and six speed automatic. The 2012 Impala Police vehicle produce 302 HP, gets fuel economy 17 MPG city and 27 MPG on the highway — a 3 MPG improvement — and will do 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds. Also, GM has added its StabiliTrak traction control, brake upgrades, and put on new Goodyear Eagle RS-A all-season tires.

“The enhancements to the 2012 Impala’s powertrain, steering and suspension produce a new vehicle that has improved performance, handling and safety features for police and general consumers. And they’ll see a savings at the fuel pump,” said Darren Post, vehicle line director for Impala.
