The Chevrolet Cruze has come a long way from its slow start out of the gate late last year, when it sold just 5,048 units in October 2010. Today, Cruze sales are in full swing here in America, tallying 22,711 sales for the month of May 2011 alone, beating out its top rivals the Ford Focus (22,303) and Hyundai Elantra (20,006), even though it doesn’t offer cruise control standard.
