Somewhere In Bavaria, Opel’s Meriva Is Haulin’ The Heidfield Family (With Video)

On a beautiful winter day, a German family went to the hill to sled… but instead of walking, they ended up taking a brand-spankin’ new Opel Meriva.

The family in question are the Heidfelds — and they were able to enjoy two weeks in an Opel Meriva as part of the Meriva Family test, a promotion where ten families drove the Gamma II-based MPV while Opel’s marketing team accompanied them to record their experiences.

The video below shows the Meriva being used for what it’s meant for: hauling’ the family in a compact, flexible, and stylish package. And even though yours truly doesn’t understand more than a few words in the nearly four-minute clip, it’s still cool to see the Meriva in action — a privilege we don’t get in the States… at least not yet. And so begs the question: should GM bring the Meriva Stateside?
