During the inaugural season of The History Channel’s Top Gear (not the BBC’s Top Gear), the show hosts were given the challenge to buy a discontinued General Motors vehicle and find a convincing point as to why they shouldn’t have been canned in the first place. Rutledge Wood picked a Buick Roadmaster Wagon and after several spilled cups of cola, broken eggs and gallons of water later, he would ultimately win the challenge.
It’s been a while since the filming of the episode, and Wood has decided to pickup one of these wood-grain beauties for himself by recently purchasing a 1996 Roadmaster Estate with an LT1 V8, automatic climate control, and other tweaks. Wood said in one of his tweets he will put on a new set of springs to get rid of the slammed look that the wagon carries now.
We approve of this purchase, Mr.Wood.

Lucky guy. I’ve always liked this version of this generation Buick Roadmaster. My other favourite is the Chevy Caprice and Caprice Classic of the same generation.
