In a recent study conducted by TrueCar, Chevrolet is currently leading all brands in average sales incentives with an average of 13.8 percent in markdowns this month, which is an increase of 2.7 percent from last month. The two current major markdown mobiles are the Chevy Impala and Aveo, posting incentives rated at 21.6 percent and 19 percent, respectively, off the sticker price. Also on the list was GMC, which was ranked 4th behind Mercedes-Benz and Nissan but above Suzuki, with an average of 11 percent in markdowns for its vehicles.
While grumpy pundits might criticize these incentives as a bad thing, we understand. With the launch of the all-new 2012 Chevy Sonic on the way to replace the Aveo, dealers need to clear their lots of remaining inventory. As for the Impala… come on, it’s the Impala. And with the launch of 2012 model year trucks and SUVs on the way, it’s easy to see why GMC has seen a jump in incentives as well.

Today I saw my first Caprice selling at a dealership as PPV detective in dark grey color. Are they available for general public to buy?
