Chevrolet Camaro V6 Breaks 11 Second Mark In Quarter-Mile Run

This one is for the record books, folks. Camaro5 member HDRS broke the 11 second mark in the quarter mile with a V6 Camaro recording a time of 11.961 @ 112.94mph, an official first for the Gen. 5 V6 Camaro.

To get his six-pot under twelve seconds, HDRS’ Camaro had a few modifications to its 3.6L LLT V6 engine, including an Injen cold air intake, an MRT axle-back Version 2.0 exhaust, a resonator delete, secondary catalytic converter delete, a set of Hoosier 18 inch slicks on 45-pound TSW wheels, and of course — a 125 nitrous shot. Congrats on breaking the 11 second mark, HDRS.

So, who needs a V8?

  2. The nitrous is both predicable and dissapointing, though it do’es speek to the inherant strength of the LLT V6. I am curious though, was this accompished with the stock rear gear ratio, witch I believe is like 3.25 or 2.90 or somthing. At witch point I am impressed, Imagine what a great big honking inercooled turbo and 5. somthing gears could do high nines with an AlloyTech?
