Join Alex and Manoli as they discuss the interior of the 2012 Buick Verano Turbo at the 2011 New York International Auto Show.
PS: what do you think of the “hole” at the bottom of the Verano’s center stack? Does it bother you as much as it does Alex? Talk to us in the comments!

It was mentioned on the Engadget show that MyLink/IntelliLink systems would incorporate inductive changing via PowerMat. My guess is that the hole at the bottom is where this charger is located.
As far as luxury and convenience goes, I think having an inductive charger built into my car, so I can simply throw my cell phone in and have it pair up and stream audio over bluetooth, as well as internet radio, all without having to plug it in to charge, is pretty luxurious AND convenient.
True — inductive charging is awesome. But it doesn’t have to be located in a big-ass hole that, for me, kills the design of the center stack. They could have a cubby with a flip-open door or something else (like the much-smaller space in the Cruze). I’m just not all that pleased with the design — which seems an afterthought.
