This just rolled into the 2011 New York International Auto Show this morning! It appears to be yet another appearance package of the Chevy Sonic Z-Spec Accessories Package.
- Sweepstakes Of The Month: Win a Corvette Z06 and 2024 Silverado. Details here.
I like the rear fog lights and the adjustable headlights (pic 27).
Now I know this was an overseas version not a US version being shown, lol!
Too bad, we could use rear fog lights in Washington State & California. Sometimes it can get really nasty!
Yeah, those rear fog lights would sure come in useful!
I kinda just wish that they could of put the projector beam HID headlights on this package and maybe do a little tweak on the hp for this package.
Yeah, those would be welcome additions. All these appearance packages that don’t add any additional power are getting a bit annoying, no?
I wish they changed how the taillights are shaped, on the concept (which I loved!) the taillights pointed more dramatically at the side view mirrors, making it look aggressive, but on this, they are rounded out. 🙁
Am I the only one that’s annoyed that all these “packages” have nothing to do with performance? There is nothing more juvenile and irrelevant than a kitted up small car with absolutely no guts. And don’t even get me started on the name of this car…
Nope, you’re not the only one — I’m right there with you! That said, this car will have the powertrains from the Cruze in a body that’s much lighter… so it may not need any power updates. It’s the Cruze, in my opinion, that needs some more p-p-p-powa! 😉
I hope they do a SS and put a 1.6 Turbo in there b/c look at the Fiesta ST
Yeah, I’m right there with you. I’m hoping for a Z-Spec moniker; leave the SS badge to rear drivers like the Camaro and Corvette
I have this car, and I have been through a lot of cars, and this is definitely my most high performance small car I have ever owned. The same people that built the corvette suspension built the sonic, pretty neat.
