A suspected electrical fire that happened earlier last week in Connecticut involving two electric vehicles — one of which is a Chevy Volt — has raised several concerns among the skeptical on the safety of electric vehicles, with the Volt drawing a lot of the fire, no pun intended.
So far, the findings from The General’s engineers have mustered up enough evidence to say that they believe that the Volt involved was only a victim, and not the guilty party. However, that’s not to say Connecticut fire marshals have drawn their conclusion just yet, especially considering that smoke began emitting from the damaged Volt’s engine bay a whole day after the garage initially burned down.
So, its seems there’s still some detective work to be done.
