Any thoughts on seeing it in person vs. on the web? Is it larger/smaller than you thought? Also, what is that +/- button on the top of the shifter? Is that a manual shift button? What other cars have the shifter in that location?
I love the color of the Eco displayed above. The grille is nice and understated, too, relative to the standard option. I like it, I like it.
It’s about the same size as I expected, personally. But it’s more beautiful in person — as is the case with many vehicles today.
As for the +/- button on the shifter — yes, that is the manumatic rocker. I’m not aware of any other vehicle that implements it in that way — very unique. After playing with it today, I actually like it better than having the +/- rocker on the side of the shifter; but Manoli pointed out that he still prefers to shift (up and down) rather than press.
We’ll have three (maybe four) in-depth vehicles on the new ‘Bu very soon. In one, we’ll discuss the new ‘Bu in general; in another we’ll talk about the ECO version specifically, and then another with some nice interior shots. Stay tuned – we should have all of them out by the end of the week (and some out today)!
I had a 2009 Malibu that I loved and had many compliments for the two years that I owned it. The car looked beautiful, but the quality and the stunning interior made me feel so very proud to own it. The 2013 model will be the next Malibu I own. Great product, GM!\I am proud of you!
Is the Malibu New York reveal available to watch online anywhere?
Yeapp — see if this works!
