Filing Shows Dan Akerson Received $2.5M During Last Four Months Of 2010

Since assuming his role last year as CEO of General Motors September 1st and through the end of 2010, Dan Akerson received $2.5 million worth in total compensation consisting of $566,667 in salary and $1.76 million in stock.

As a reminder, Akerson will also receive a $9 million pay package for the year of 2011.

It’s not nearly as much as Alan Mulally’s pay package, but does the pay package come of as fair, or a little top heavy? We have a comment section for a reason, folks. Sound off!

  1. WAY TOO MUCH! This must be some kind of joke. All the money they saved removing emblems, etc. Gone in one fell swoop. Some people make $9mil a year and some make $12k for the same amount of time and stress. Go figure.
