Dealer Leaks Information On 2012 Corvette

Aside from the Centennial Edition Corvette, some leaked intel sheds light on what we will see (and won’t see) for the 2012 model year Corvette.
First, there’s the new color — Carlisle Blue Metallic — which will be in place of the Black and Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat paint offerings, which have been deleted for 2012. Also deleted will be the 6-disc in-dash CD changer, hardly a loss, but we will see an upgraded Bose 9-speaker sound system, complete with new subwoofers.
Mechanically, both the Z06 and ZR1 models will see some upgrades. Starting with the Z06, the LS7-powered track monster receives a Performance Traction Management system that was only offered in the ZR1 before now. For the ZR1, it will receive a High Performance Package with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, Michelin Cup tires and a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox.
Mind you that none of this has yet to be made official, but for a full breakdown on what to expect from the 2012 ‘Vette, head over to Corvette Forum via the link below.
