If you haven’t yet heard, Chevy is set to unveil its all-new 2013 Malibu this Monday in the U.S. (Tuesday in Shanghai). The event will be streamed live to the web, Facebook, as well as iPhones and iPads all over the world on Monday April 18th at 8:30 pm Eastern time. From the time of this writing, that’s exactly two days away — and we’ve started a countdown timer on the right hand side of the GM Authority website.
During the reveal, Chevy is encouraging users to ask questions on Twitter by using the #MalibuReveal hashtag or on Facebook by using the Malibu tab. For your convenience, we’ve embedded a live Twitter stream below that automatically follows the #MalibuReveal hashtag.
The in-person reveal, which will be followed by a moderated question-and-answer session online, will first take place in Shanghai and then be followed by a U.S.-showing at the New York International Auto Show starting Wednesday April 20th.
The GM Authority crew (Manoli, Lizette, and myself) will be at the New York Auto Show the day after the web reveal (from Shanghai) and will bring you the best GM coverage from the NYC — so be sure to stay tuned to the blog for the latest and greatest from the NYC! And follow all of GM Authority coverage of the next-gen Malibu on this page.
PS: Does this feel like Christmas eve to anyone… where you somewhat know what you’re gonna get, but it’s so much better when you actually open the present and find out everything you’re getting?

Another bloated gas waster from GM.
Yeap! Not that it will be the most fuel efficient and fun-to-drive vehicle in the segment… or anything.
You do know that GM’s “bloated gas water” called the Chevy Cruze is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid mass-production gas-powered vehicle in the world… right? But who cares about facts nowadays anyway?
