Callaway Reveals 540 HP Silverado C19 SportTruck

While it may not be all that much for looking at, Callaway Cars’ new Silverado C19 SportTruck is a total sleeper, packing your choice of either a supercharged 5.3L or 6.2L V8 engine.

Compared to a stock 5.3L Vortec V8 engine, Callaway managed to find an additional 135 horsepower and 115 pounds-feet of torque for its C19, delivering 450 horsepower and 450 pounds-feet of twist, while still maintaining a fuel economy rating of 21 MPG highway in the 4×2 model.

Up the ante with Callaway’s 6.2L V8 and you’ll have a truck that’s good for 540 horsepower and 522 pounds-feet. That’s an increase of  137 hp and 105 pounds-feet over the base 6.2L Vortec. Now a Cadillac CTS-V owner can have a truck to match. Delicious.

The Callaway Silverado package starts at $15,995 before options and is available in either two or four-wheel-drive and in every cab variant so long as it’s a Silverado 1500.

  2. Everytime I see a big HP gasoline engine truck I start to daydream about how manny pound feet a turbodiesel of similar HP would generate and it ruins the gasoline thing for me, Do’snt Reves Callaway do Duramax, I might be mistaken but was’nt it he that built a Duramax powered Silverado road race truck,
