Buick To Host “Special Announcement About New Technology” For 2012 Models

Buick just updated its Twitter account with the following message:

4/19 at 12:45 EDT, tune in to Stitcher for a special announcement about new technology on 2012 #Buick models: http://spr.ly/6013R6PR

We’re not sure what the new technology will be… but we suspect it could be a variation of the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system announced for GM’s 2012 Chevy vehicles. Stay tuned — we’ll find out in roughly a day at the New York Auto Show! Have any predictions? Share them with us in the comments!

Update: Buick just issued a press release containing more details about the announcement, which will be hosted by Tony DiSalle — Vice President of Buick marketing. The presentation will contain an “update on Buick’s recent progress and announce a consumer-focused, in-vehicle technology product for the brand’s 2012 model year sedans.” Looks like the Enclave is out of the picture (since it’s not a sedan) and so is the Lucerne (since it won’t see a 2012 model year). We can’t wait until tomorrow!
