Video: Towing Goof Up Folds GMC Sierra In Half

This poor fellow’s GMC Sierra ended up falling through the ice and is now left laying belly-up, stranded and helpless. The seemingly intelligent thing to do would be to dial in the nearest tow truck and have their professional abilities and equipment take care of the matter.
But because everyone with a pickup truck is an expert at towing things, these bros chose the DIY approach instead. What ensues is the contortion of a pickup truck in the likes of which we’ve never seen before. Fair warning : NSFW (language).

Wow… Looks unreal!
Hilarious! I think the bed got stuck on something underneath and since the towing attachment was hooked on to the front underbelly, this resulted in nice fold we have here. Would be interesting to see if a towing company would have done anything differently.
There had to be a hot saw involved prior to the event, the frame rails desighned to be loaded in sheer in their duty cycle,HEAVELY LOADED! It’s the front frame horns that are made to crumple in compression, Sorry I’m not buying it Just coud’nt happen that way
can you say hoax– look at where the truck comes apart definately sawed
Yes it was most likely sawed or tourched somewhere near the front. I worked at a body shop at one point in my life, when you apply 20,000 pounds of pulling power to the frame, you can barely straight the buckles out at that rate.
So then they just flipped it into the lake and decided to put it up on YouTube as a publicity stunt? Hmmm.
Maybe. And that winch, it’s not a wrecker. Maybe some kind of gasoline powered winch.
Why could’nt they have picked on a Ford or Toyota
At least if you’r going to do a hoax
Have Mythbuster’s Kari Biron pick the truck up with her bare hands and break the frame over her thigh, THAT would be HOT!
Mabee one of her bosses 100’s of Toyotas he probably would’t miss that little blue Hi Lux, Maybee Kari could be dressed as a Supervillen.
