Motor Trend: Cadillac CTS Coupe To See Another Generation

When the upcoming Cadillac ATS launches in sedan, wagon, convertible and coupe flavors, it will spell the end of the CTS Coupe. At least, that’s what the original agenda was.
According to Motor Trend, Cadillac’s product planners have indeed taken notice to the surging sales of the striking CTS Coupe and the ways in which its design and performance reflects on the entire Wreath and Crest. Therefore, they feel that the CTS Coupe deserves to live on for at least another generation, taking a new shape and the skeleton of the lighter, more modern Alpha platform, which will make its debut underpinning the ATS in roughly two years’ time. Motor Trend also states that The General’s design department is currently presenting “stunning” design proposals for a next generation CTS Coupe.
This means that the Alpha platform will now support three coupes — the aforementioned ATS and CTS Coupe, and the sixth generation Chevy Camaro.

The next gen CTS being the larger car, maybee the return of ELDORADO, must be the singularly most powerfull, fastest and yes most expensive Cadillac ever, and the most worth it, remember Corvettes are lighter and better handling, Camaro and Chevy/Holden Zeta need to be faster than Ford’s and Dodge’s not the Cadillac of Cadillacs, Eldorado must be ne plus ultra.
