Engineer Confirms Plug-In Cadillac SRX Hybrid

“We’ve got another plug-in coming, which is the 166, the SRX, which is the same basic technology.”

Those are the words of a GM engineer via Autoblog Green. The quote also backs up previous rumors that there is indeed a Cadillac SRX plug-in hybrid in the works, though GM’s PR team denies it.

As for the 166, that number is reported to be a code for Epsilon II-based vehicles. And considering the production-bound Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept was both a plug-in and an Epsilon II derivative… well, do we really need to spell it out for you?
