On March 25th, Chevrolet will pull the sheet off its next generation Chevrolet Colorado at the Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand. From what we gather from the press release, the truck on display will be a show truck, and will most likely be toned down in a few ways when it finally makes its launch. Additionally, the Colorado that will be displayed in Thailand at the end of the month will be “slightly different” than the take we will see in North America, which may not launch for another two years or so.Â

Well that certainly looks sweet! Wears the newest Chevy corporate face well!
The real question, however, is whether it will be able to hold a candle to the new (global) Ford Ranger .
I think it’ll outperform the T6. And it’s great news that it’ll be available in North America even though it should arrive here in 2013 (unlike later this year in Thailand). Why is that GM will release almost whole new lineup in 2013? Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Colorado, Medium duty trucks, Impala, malibu, Traverse, and maybe even full size vans. (yukon, tahoe, avalanche is questionable if it’ll continue to be available) am I missing anything?
Well, 2013-2014 will certainly be an interesting year. I attribute it to the bankruptcy slow-down and sudden ramp-up in the post-bankruptcy era. Many within GM are working as fast and as hard as they can to bring these products to market — and it just so happens that it takes a couple of years to bring a redesigned vehicle. So — tons of news and tons of fun in 2013-2014!
