Ad Break: Turbo… Buick (With Video)

As part of the market-introduction of the 2011 Buick Regal Turbo, GM’s Tri-Shield brand has introduced a new commercial highlighting the athletic attributes of the Epsilon II-based sedan.
As the (may we add beautiful) Regal makes its way through a gorgeous mountain road, the ad’s alluring male voice makes a huge impact with a modest amount of words:
“Turbo. Buick. Turbo. Buick. Turbo. Buick… Don’t worry, you’ll get used to the sound of it.”
The GM Authority Take
Boy is this exciting… and bold! In its urgent reincarnation as a modern luxury brand, Buick isn’t holding any punches — and comes right at ya with a no-holds-barred statement about the sporty nature of the Regal Turbo. Now that’s something we don’t see every day! And good thing the Regal Turbo can walk the talk… unlike its naturally-aspirated variant that only pretends to have a performance-oriented demeanor.
That said… the Regal is so beautiful, dang it!

That is a beautiful car, makes me miss my Regal (’98 GS). I loved that car (but not like it was a person) and really miss it.
So sad all the good stuff is well outside my price range now. Maybe if I’m in the market in 2-3 years, I might find a good used one.
I’ve been saving up for a down payment on a GS. That’s the model I would like. Either way, I’m excited about Buick stepping into the performance market again.
