As GM’s troubled European arm reports a $600 million loss for 2010, CEO Dan Akerson took center stage during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show along with Nick Reilly to seemingly assure that everything is going to be okay with the struggling Opel and Vauxhall brands.
“We continue to fund not only losses – no big deal – that is the obligation of a parent – but we have funded the development of new products…that is a vote of confidence – we are working well together as a corporation and team,” boasted Akerson.
“No big deal.” Don’t you wish you were just as cool as Akerson seems to be when the division responsible for the ever-important Epsilon II platform and that played a vital role in the Delta II platform continues to seep money? We do.
